As a result of our continuing review of the available evidence we have made the following changes to the QTdrugs lists on the CredibleMeds website.  The anti-cancer drug Aclarubicin has been added to the list of drugs with Known Risk of torsades de pointes (TdP).    Memantine (a drug for Alzheimers) and Maprotiline (an antidepressant) were added to the Possible Risk list because we have found evidence of QT prolongation but no convincing evidence at this time of TdP.  We have also found strong evidence of TdP when Cimetidine is taken with drugs that have a Known Risk of TdP and therefore have added it to the Conditional Risk list.  Lastly, Amsacrine (an anti-cancer drug) was added to the Conditional Risk of TdP category due to evidence that it causes hypomagnesemia and QT prolongation and has been associated with reports of TdP in the medical literature.

Also, remember that the QTdrugs list is available free to you in the CredibleMeds mobile app which can be obtained by clicking these links to the Apple App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android devices) and the Windows Mobile Device store.
